Can you possibly imagine a time when women were prohibited from attending Southwestern Medical School? Our October 5th speaker, fellow DCMSA member and pioneer physician, Sandra Steinbach, forged an untrodden path for women during those days and invites us to witness her incredible life story. An accomplished psychiatrist, author of Sandy Sez, 40 Bad Poems and Wrapping It Up, a physician’s wife, and a mother of four, Dr. Steinbach will provide us some incredible tips from her list of 101 Ways to Be Mentally Healthy that we will, no doubt, want to incorporate into our lives. As wise as she is humorous, Sandy’s stories will leave you feeling both inspired that you can become equipped to overcome life’s challenges and blessed that you are part of a community such as ours where members like Sandy (and her husband Herb, our first male member) have supported physicians and physicians’ wives for decades.
RSVPs and checks may also be mailed to Shana Wilcox, 4500 Roland Avenue #802, Dallas, TX, 75219. Tel: 214-437-1089.
