Young Alliance Membership/Program Committees

Liza Beasley Raynor attended Wake Forest University and subsequently received a Masters in social work with a specialty in play therapy. She focuses on areas of domestic violence, trauma, adoption and social justice. She currently volunteers at Genesis Women’s Shelter. She has two daughters in elementary school and a son in preschool. Her family is involved at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Highland Park Day School and Boone Elementary School. She and her husband Brett grew up in Dallas and are happy to return to their family and friends.

The Position

Liza has spearheaded the creation of the Young Alliance group within DCMSAF. The group began with families picnicking on Sunday afternoons at Aldredge House. The group has grown to incorporate both men and women physicians, including many medical couples. The group hosts Sunday picnics, holiday family gatherings, yoga classes and seminars for work-family balance and self-care. They also take part in the broad programming of the Alliance’s speaker events and CME credit programs.
