MAY 26, 2021
The final membership meeting for the 2020-2021 leadership year on Wednesday, May 26, celebrated the work of the outgoing directors and the installation of the incoming officers of the Medical Alliance. Coming together as fully vaccinated friends at their Aldredge House headquarters, the members installed the leaders for both of its organizations, the 501(c)3 Dallas County Medical Society Alliance Foundation and the 501(c)6 Dallas County Medical Society Alliance.
Kaki Hopkins lead the organization through the spontaneous pathways of the past year as the organization dealt with growth, restructuring, innovations and providing stimulation and entertainment for its members while dealing with the pandemic. She is high on her board, their unflinching service to the organization, their talent, skills, and energetic and fun nature, “We accomplished a lot with our determination and teamwork, and I shall be forever grateful to the men and women who did so much to enrich the Medical Alliance this past year.”
The incoming board will be led by RuLan Hebeler whom the membership knows well. RuLan has served in many leadership roles including Membership VP and three years as Aldredge House chair. She will chair a group of leaders that represents a healthy mix of current directors, first-time officers and admired leaders who are returning to serve their community with other members of our family of medicine. While there is still some uncertainty regarding the virus that can hamper planning, she is optimistic that we will be able to return to the in-person camaraderie the group enjoys as they plan and execute the vibrancy of the programs and outreach the Medical Alliance is known for. The beautiful morning event was chaired by Barenda Hino and Lori Routh. Barbara Bradfield led the installation of the officers.
