Nancy Shelton, Co-Liaison
Co-Liaison, Friends of Aldredge House
Nancy joined the Alliance not long after returning to her hometown in Dallas in the early 1980s. She has held many positions with the Alliance including the President in 1996-97. Friends of Aldredge House (FOAH) has been especially near to Nancy’s heart as she has a vested interested in historical preservation throughout the city of Dallas. She has been a part of FOAH since its inception and is the liaison between the two groups. She also is a past board member of Dallas Heritage Village and currently serves on the boards of The Dallas Historical Society and Preservation Dallas. Nancy and her husband, Jim (deceased) have three children. Her oldest son, Joseph, is a gastroenterologist in Fort Worth, and his wife also practices medicine.
Serving as a co-liaison from Friends of the Aldredge House, Nancy will report to our board about the happenings of the group, which was formed to help ensure the preservation and long-term health of the Aldredge House. The group provides monetary and programming support and presents the exceptionally successful Living History Tour on the first Saturdays of the month.
