Christine Goff

7th VP – Legislature

After practicing as an RN in pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center, this nurse became a homebuilder in the Park Cities for ten years. She took over management of the office for her husband Dr. Gary Goff three years ago and still builds houses on the side. The Goffs particularly appreciate the Alliance. Both are members and have developed many close friends from their association with the Alliance. They have two children who attended Wake Forest in North Carolina.

The Position

Chairing the Legislative committee means looking out for medicine in the Texas Legislature. Advocacy for Medicine takes Alliance members and men and women in white coats to the state capitol on First Tuesdays during the Legislative session. It’s a powerful tool to get the message of what is good for Medicine in Texas to those decision makers, so last year advocates started visiting state representatives and senators in their local and regional offices during the years when the Legislature is not in session.
